All NHS members are required to join a committee. Each committee is listed with a description below if you want to learn more about their functions and roles. Committees are led by a returning and new leader who are expected to schedule committee meetings and organize communications between members.
The Diversity/Outreach Committee is in charge of brainstorming ways to make the NHS much more inclusive toward underrepresented demographics in our school.
In order to fund events and items such as our induction ceremony, the Fundraising Committee brainstorms ways to raise money for the NHS.
The Tutoring Committee is in charge of scheduling days and organizing members to help students in need of academic assistance in our local High School and Middle Schools.
The Special Community Service Event Committee is in charge of planning and organizing the annual major service event that all members take part in.
Because it may be hard to find service opportunities, the community service committee organizes a list of available events where NHS members can help their community and work towards their required service hours.
The Induction Committee is in charge of scheduling the date and location of our annual induction ceremony which welcomes new members of the NHS.
This website requires ongoing maintenance to stay effective and useful. Dates and information need frequent adjustments and updating. Only two members of the NHS are in this committee with one being a Senior and the other a Junior.
